Privacy information

DataStackSignals is a static editorial website. It does not provide reader accounts. The contact form sends enquiries to our email service through a server endpoint on Vercel. The site’s hosting service may process technical request information to deliver pages; this notice does not claim that infrastructure creates no logs.

Newsletter signup is not yet available. The site does not collect newsletter signup details.

You can email connect@datastacksignals.com for editorial enquiries, corrections or privacy requests. Our contact form collects your first name, optional last name, email address and message. Vercel processes the submission to send it to Zoho Mail; the application does not save submissions in a separate database or log message contents. Direct emails can also include attachments. We use these details to respond and manage the enquiry, not to subscribe you to marketing.

We use correspondence to answer questions, assess corrections and maintain an appropriate record of our response. Our basis for ordinary enquiry handling is our legitimate interest in operating the publication and responding to readers; legal obligations may also apply to privacy requests. Please include only information relevant to your enquiry.

Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to resolve the enquiry and retain relevant editorial or legal records. There is no automatic two-month deletion rule for email; the Analytics retention period applies only to Analytics. You can contact us about deletion of your correspondence.

Cloudflare Turnstile processes browser and connection information to check contact submissions for spam. This security check is separate from optional Google Analytics and is used only on the contact page when the form is enabled. Zoho processes mailbox information to provide the email service. Provider processing and international transfers are governed by applicable service terms and safeguards.

A light or dark display preference can be stored locally in your browser. The architecture checklist keeps selections only while its page remains open.

Fonts are requested from Google Fonts. Those requests share connection information with the font service. External article sources are opened only when you follow their links and have their own privacy practices.

If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand readership and improve our editorial website. Google receives page addresses (without query strings or fragments), page titles, browser/device information and cookie identifiers, and processes connection information including your IP address. We do not send names, email addresses or user account IDs. Advertising consent remains denied, and Google signals and advertising personalisation are disabled.

Where analytics is enabled, our basis for this optional processing is your consent. Rejecting analytics does not restrict access. Use Analytics settings in the footer to change your choice or withdraw consent. Withdrawal stops future collection; it does not undo processing already performed. Your preference is saved in this browser for up to 180 days.

Google may process information outside your country under its applicable data-processing terms and safeguards. Google’s privacy information explains its processing. Search Console lets the operator review search visibility and indexing; it does not add a tracking script or cookies to this site.

Analytics cookies last up to 180 days. Consent choices expire after 180 days; your display preference remains until you clear it. Our GA4 user/event data retention setting is two months, with retention reset on new activity disabled; aggregate reports may remain longer. Hosting and linked service retention depend on those providers.

The site operator is Signal. For privacy questions or requests to access, erase, correct or restrict personal information, contact connect@datastacksignals.com. Applicable rights depend on your location and the information we can identify. You may also complain to your local data protection authority, including the UK ICO.
